Hotel Montana de Monteverde has 12 standard and 30 superior rooms spread out around a grassy courtyard. The superior rooms, $140, have floor to ceiling windows and glass sliding doors leading out to the private balcony with views of the Nicoya Gulf. Inside, the rooms are furnished with white- tile floors, a paneled dresser, desk bedside tables, a large bathtub, and either a king-size bed or two queen-size beds depending on the room. Amenities include cable TV, a mini-fridge, safety deposit box and bedside lamps. Wi-Fi is available in the lobby.
Restaurant
The restaurant serves local Costa Rican and international dishes from grilled chicken to cheeseburgers, but excels in Italian cuisine like the pasta romana: fusilli pasta tossed with red pepper, shredded chicken, sliced ham, mushrooms and peas in a creamy vodka infused sauce.
Even when the restaurant is full, Hotel Montana's breakfast (included in the room rate) is a plated service and comes with a platter of fresh fruit, coffee, juice and a choice of either an American or Costa Rican style breakfast. The Restaurant staff never seems overwhelmed, even when dealing with large groups.
