At lunch and dinner, well-seasoned starters mesmerize your mouth, fresh tuna tartare, $8, seasoned with chives, soy sauce, sesame oil, wasabi, ginger, lime, avocado, sprinkled with roasted sesame seeds and served with toasts, or local avocado guacamole, $6, mixed with hard boiled egg, red bell pepper, lime. Fruit smoothies abound with freshness, and you'll have a whole bunch to choose from: strawberry, passion fruit, sour sop and blackberry, $3.
Enormous entrees satisfy your deepest nautical desires, seafood rice, $13, squid, octopus, shrimp, mussels, clam, mahi-mahi, crab, green onions, bell peppers, celery, and white wine, with a side of sauteed vegetables and a strawberry garnish, or steamed mahi-mahi, $13, topped with mushrooms and onions, alongside sauteed vegetables and a mixed salad.
Homemade desserts draw crowds too, namely the apple hand pie, $6, served with seasonal fruit and chocolate chip ice cream, and pecan pie, $6, alongside a scoop of vanilla ice cream drizzled in lime syrup.
Ambiance
It's a good thing the restaurant is wide and airy, overlooking Hotel Leyenda's pool and gardens; your happy stomach will need a bit of extra space to exit after the meal.
