Cozy-up under a cabana and sip a famous Italian sunset cocktail, Aperol Spritz, $8, Prosecco, soda water, orange. Keep the Italian theme and bite into the crunch of focaccia Carpaccio, $7, raw prosciutto, tomato, arugula, Parmesan, balsamic vinegar and cracked black pepper.
Watch the waves mist against the sand as you pick your main dish, perhaps the wasabi cream tuna, $19, soy sauce, sesame seeds, chunked tomato, served with wasabi mashed potatoes and julienned zucchini, or a skillet of pasta Costa Esmeralda, $15, spaghetti tossed with mussels, shrimp, octopus, squid, olive oil and garlic.
Balance the warmth of the beachside air with your dessert, vanilla ice cream, $7, topped with strawberries, slivered almonds and dulce de leche; or dare to fall in love with a chocolate heart, $8, molten lava cake, two scoops of ice cream and a caramel heart.
Ambiance
Italian Owners Stefania Piussi and Stefano Montalti created Gusto Beach Sports Club to mirror exactly the way they like to spend their vacations — on the beach, drinks in hand, just kicking-back and listening to great music (live music Friday, Saturday, Sunday 8:30 p.m.).
