Lanterna Ristorante
Biting into the Genovese northern Italian flat bread sprinkled with rosemary and topped with cherry tomatoes, arugula and mozzarella burrata buffalo, you just might think you're at port in Naples. As a cool breeze thrums through gently rocking the boats beside you in the Los Suenos marina, you might just forget you're in Costa Rica at the Jaco's premiere Italian restaurant, Lantera. One thing is for sure though, you'll remember the visit for the months and years that follow.

Other dishes take advantage of the restaurant's proximity to the Pacific, like the pan-roasted mahi-mahi, $24, on a bed of linguine finished with garlic and tomatoes sautéed in extra-virgin olive oil with Kalamatta olives, basil, oregano and a splash of brandy.
The desserts at Lanterna are equally inspired like the passion fruit ice cream with homemade graham cracker, and triple nut cream – hazel nut ice cream, pecans and toasted almonds – both $7.
Ambiance
The patio beside the Los Sueno marina is just as fit for lunch on a sunny afternoon as it is for a candle-lit Italian dinner. The restaurant's interior has stone walls, high ceilings and rustic lanterns illuminating the dining area.
