Rooms
Enjoy the sounds of the ocean from the beachfront superior rooms, $80 in the wet season (May-Nov.) with breakfast, or wake up to the sound of distant Howler monkeys as the sun drapes light across the walkways and stairs leading to the garden villas, $70 in the wet season (May-Nov.) with breakfast.
Each villa has its own patio looking out over the gardens and Manuel Antonio coastline. Inside the villas, wood rafters hang over low cobblestone walls that separate the common area from the raised bed rooms. Amenities include A/C, safety deposit box, plus a kitchenette with a minifridge, countertop and sink.
Restaurant
El Karahe's restaurant, El Canto del Mar, sits right along the beach behind a row of shady palms and mangrove trees. Dinner at the restaurant features a nightly three-course special. For $15, the special includes an appetizer like the bruschetta (diced tomatoes over toasted white bread), a main course like the fish papillote; steamed mahi-mahi, red peppers, onions and spinach wrapped in tin-foil shaped like a goose; followed by a dessert like fruit salad and chocolate chip ice cream.
