Cariari Country Club
Situated outside of San Jose in nearby Cariari, this was the first championship 18-hole golf course in Costa Rica. Once a coffee plantation, Cariari is currently known to be one of the best golf courses in Central America. The Cariari Country Club proudly hosted the Costa Rica Open in February 2006. This exclusive club lies in the heart of the Central Valley and is surrounded by picturesque coffee plantations. Its heavily wooded, tree-lined fairways demand a precise shot off the tee and accuracy is more important than distance. Large, rolling greens are well guarded by cleverly placed sand pits.
